Intuition and Manifestation by Trusting Your Promptings
Is it possible for you to elevate your intuition and take charge of what you manifest by trusting your inner guidance and listening to your promptings? Let’s discuss the truth about intuition and manifestation and take a closer look at how you may shift and improve your life circumstances and results.
In “The Attractor Factor“, my long-time friend and co-author on other books, including “The Inner Game of Internet Marketing” and “Money From Anywhere” Joe Vitale wrote…
“Stay in the moment and all gifts are added as you breathe and take inspired action.”
“Take inspired action.”
This is one of the most helpful tips Joe Vitale has ever shared. It’s so important not just to sit down and wait for the thing you want to manifest. You need to act. Joe’s “attractor factor” precept is based on taking action to receive what you want. Inspired action.
God and the Universe will do the hard work, but you need to do your part. But how do you know what to do? How do you know if the idea of taking action in one direction came from you or as inspiration? That knowledge comes from practice.
Inspiration is similar to intuition. I think of this as a prompting for me to take an action that is Heaven sent, meant only for me and in my best interest and with a positive outcome. And I have discovered that intuition and manifestation go hand in hand. Listen to your intuition, then be patient and believe in the possibilities as you await the manifestation that will will bring it all full circle.
Here’s another way to think about it. Inspiration is when you suddenly feel and know what to do. Not just guess. Not just come up with a solution yourself. It’s an intense feeling of knowing exactly what to do. If you’re a little rusty in your intuition skills, what do you do? Is it possible to train? To practice? To get better?
Can You Train Your Intuition and Manifestation As If It Were a Muscle to Be Strengthened?
Based on my experience, yes. Honestly, I couldn’t find any official studies that proved it. There were studies made about intuition, but not how to get better at it. It seems there’s a big need for an “Intuition and Manifestation 101” class.
A number of years ago, I discovered some ways to increase my intuition. It helped me so much that if I went down to a train platform with two tracks, I always knew what track my train would arrive on. Even without waiting for the sign to show it.
For this training to work, you must commit to training every day. It doesn’t have to take long. Five minutes can be enough. And the reward is more than worth it. It’s the secret sauce behind my incredible productivity skills.
You can do it at the same time of the day if you prefer. Back then, I took the bus to work every morning, and instead of staring out the window, I trained my intuition. Nobody on the bus could know what I did. I just looked like any other sleepy passenger dreading the work day ahead.
Exercises You Can Do Today to Improve Your Intuition and Manifestation Skills
The first exercise you can do to improve your manifestation skills is for relaxation. You sit down, close your eyes and relax. Then you count down, slowly, in your mind either from 100 to 1 or 10 to 1 if you’re already used to getting your brain waves down to alpha level. I do this at least once daily using my Balance meditation app on my phone.
While you’re counting, visualize as each number appear in front of you three times. 100 – 100 – 100… Keep counting down, until you reach 1, and you feel a slight buzz in your brain, and you feel deeply relaxed. Then, mentally confirm to yourself that you’re now on a deeper and more healthy level in your mind. You can now deepen this relaxation even further.
Imagine you’re going down a staircase with 10 steps. Count down again, this time from 10 to 1, and for each slow step, tell yourself that for each step, you are going deeper and deeper. After you’ve reached 1, you tell yourself again that you’re on a deeper, healthier and more relaxed level.
When you reach this level, you can do several things.
If you’ve taken a meditation or relaxation course, you’ll know how you prefer to continue. If you haven’t yet, then just visualize yourself lying in a favorite spot. On a beach. In a park. On a hammock!
Just relax and enjoy for as long as you please. You can help your manifestation efforts by saying affirmations as well. Make this a pleasant experience. Not only will you have a good time and get more energy; but you’ll also increase your intuition. And with that, you’ll get more inspiration about what to do as the action part of this process.
How to Know the Difference Between Intuition and Guesswork
Here’s the tricky question… How do you know? The action you feel drawn to… Is it inspiration? Or just something you want to do? This little thing took me years to learn. Now I know what to look for. When it’s not there, it’s just me, who wants to go in that direction. It’s not inspiration. When it’s there, I know.
Here’s how I distinguish between the two. I look at where the idea came from. And how it came to me. Plus, I look at how I feel about it. Let’s say you want to manifest $200 by the end of this week. You do all the right things. You go through your manifestation routine. All you need now is to take inspired action.
You think about this… How can you make $200 by the end of the week? Well, maybe you have some old stuff you can sell on eBay, right Is that inspired action? Nope. You used your logic and knowledge to reach that point. That’s your brain, not inspiration.
Inspiration comes from outside. It strikes like lightning. A crazy idea you would never have thought about yourself. And it feels good.
“Go downtown,” your inspiration tells you. It’s a prompting you can’t ignore, even if you wanted to turn your back on it. This makes no sense to you, but you do it anyway. Because you feel good about this idea. And it’s so strange that you know for sure you didn’t come up with this idea using logic.
Downtown, you find a TV team on the grounds. A man is standing there with all the cameras pointing at him except for one that’s pointed toward the audience.
“Who can guess how much money I’m holding in this purse?” he yells to the cheerful audience.
Inspiration hits you again. “$201,” you yell. People are laughing and shouting all kinds of amounts. “$1,000, $10,000, $20,000.”
Cameras turn and point at you. “And this purse goes to this person. Come up here and tell us your name.” And so, your inspired action helped you to manifest the desired amount of money.
Intuition holds a very important role in manifestation. Intuition helps you find the right inspired action. It will tell you what to do and when to do it. All you need to do is… To follow your intuition.
Manifest While You’re Having Fun and Experiencing Joy
How important is the feeling of joy in the Law of Attraction? Does it matter if we feel good, happy, or even sad while we’re trying to manifest? It does. And I’ll show it to you…
Have you ever really wanted something? That could be a thing… like a new phone, a car or a house. Or it could be a person or a pet. Then you know that it’s difficult to pretend to feel like having it already.
The Law of Attraction: Like Attracts Like
What you send out, you get more of. If you send out feelings of sadness and misery, the Law of Attraction will make sure you get more of the same kind. Not because it’s evil. But simply because such is the law. Like attracts like.
It’s therefore important you connect it with an appropriate feeling. Especially when you visualize with the purpose of manifesting something you want. So here we have the first sign that a feeling of joy is important in the Law of Attraction.
Neville Goddard Told Us to Visualize with Emotion
Neville Goddard did an immense work to share his visions about how to manifest one’s deepest desires. Many of the lectures and teachings that he did are included in his book “Feeling Is the Secret: Your Thoughts Shape Your Life” from 1949.
In that book, he shares not only why it’s important to visualize with feeling, but also how feeling in a specific manner matters. It makes the difference between manifesting your deepest desires and not succeeding in getting what you want.
When you deeply want something, you feel desire. The feelings you send out are the feeling of lack of that something you want. The Universe, in its wisdom, picks up on your emotion and gives you more of that. More lack of what you desire.
The right feeling to send out if you want to manifest your desires is the feeling you would have if you already had the object. Gratitude is the key.
Let’s say you have a burning desire to get a new phone. How do you feel? If you’re not aware of Neville Goddard and his teaching, you will constantly send out emotions of lack of that object. But imagine for a moment that you already had what you desired. You wouldn’t feel that burning desire, would you?
No, you would feel gratitude. Right after you got what you wanted, you may even be elated. You may be bursting with joy. But that emotion does not stick, at least not naturally and without some conscious effort on your part.
Once you get your desired object, for example, the new phone, it will feel awesome to begin with. But then it will be just something you’re happy for. Maybe something that makes you smile. But the immense feeling of joy is gone.
Nobody Expects You to Be Elated All the Time
An estimated two thirds of all people who attempt visualization struggle with feeling like they already have what they desire. They are trying too hard to feel on top of the world. They imagine that once they have their desired object, then they’ll be over the moon with happiness.
And that’s only true for a first, short time. So, when they try to pull forth that feeling while visualizing, it fails. Which is a good sign, because it means that their subconscious works well and weeds out the fake feeling of ecstatic happiness.
They think it doesn’t work for them to feel like they are already in possession of what they want. And in reality, their subconscious tells them this is foolish. Nobody feels like that after a few days of having it. I don’t believe you. You’re trying to scam me.
Trusting the Flow of Emotion with Intuition and Manifestation Strategies
The key here is authenticity. The Law of Attraction responds to genuine emotions, not forced ones. Trying to sustain an elated feeling indefinitely is unnecessary, and it is not what manifestation is about. Instead, learn to trust the natural ebb and flow of your emotions.
It’s okay to feel excited when you first imagine having your desire. However, don’t put pressure on yourself to remain in a constant state of euphoria. It’s completely normal in life that your feelings aren’t constant. They change. One day you’re over-the-moon happy. The next day, you’re in a more neutral mood. And the third, you’re maybe slightly unhappy.
What you need to focus on is gratitude and joy in the present moment. Feel gratitude regardless of whether or not your wish has already manifested. Feel the joy without overreacting, as if you had what you desired and have already had it for some time.
Don’t ignore or even deny other emotions, like feeling sad or anxious. If you have those emotions, it’s because they are yours and you need to acknowledge them. Only then can you work on changing them into positive emotions.
Finding the Balance Between Wanting and Letting Go
Sure, you really, really want that new phone and you can’t wait to get it… but it is important that you don’t send out those longing vibes.
It’s crucial to your great success as a co-creator of your life experience.
Don’t cling to your desires like a lovesick teenager. Instead, you must accept your desires and let them go. Trust God and the Universe and perhaps even the Law of Attraction. You don’t need to know HOW you’ll get what you want. You only need to know that you will get it.
What you most crave and desire is already on its way. When you feel the joy around what you wish to manifest, the Universe will react to that feeling and send you more to be joyful about. I like to use storytelling as a strategy to achieve this feeling.
Is There a Connection Between Intuition and Manifestation and the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction states that what you send out, you’ll receive more of back. Therefore, it makes sense that if you send out vibes of joy, you will get more of it. And what better way to send you joy than to give you what you desire? Feel the joy, but don’t overdo it.
It helps to imagine having already received what you desire and had it for a while. Sure, at first, you’ll be over the moon and thrilled with joy. But once the honeymoon phase it over, you’re filled with a quiet joy instead. Let that be your guide. Then you’ll soon manifest your heart’s desires and be filled with more joy and promptings as a part of your life experience.
