Manifestation and Limiting Beliefs
What is stopping you from getting what you want? You often have the feeling that everybody else can just manifest their desires. But when you try, you do everything by the book. And nothing manifests. Why? Because manifestation and limiting beliefs go hand in hand.
Chances are that like most people, you have limiting beliefs that block successful manifestation.
A limiting belief is a thought or state of mind that you think is the absolute truth and stops you from doing certain things. These beliefs don’t always have to be about yourself, either. They could be about how the world works, ideas, and how you interact with people.
Would you like to know how to clear those limiting beliefs? Would you like to know how you, too, can become a manifestation magnet and obtain all your deepest desires?
Method #1: EFT
Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT or tapping, is a method that has been proven effective in getting rid of stress, anxiety and limiting beliefs. Why does it work?
That’s the strange thing. EFT works by tapping with your fingers on specific parts of your body, mainly your head. The so-called acupoints. Just like acupuncture but without needles. This will access your body’s energy and send signals to your brain.
Normally, you have to believe in such things, but EFT has been proven to work even with people who didn’t believe in it. Scientists have measured stress hormones in the body before and after EFT. The results showed that EFT relieved a person of stress.
Believers say, “try it on everything.” That means migraines, high blood pressure and limiting beliefs.
Where are the tapping points? You can find the acupoints along the body’s meridians. According to traditional EFT, there are 9 tapping points:
- The side of your hand, the “karate chop”
- Your eyebrow (close to the nose)
- The side of your eye (away from your nose)
- Under your eye (around the middle)
- Under your nose (around the middle)
- Your chin
- Your collar bone (near the center of your chest)
- Under your arm (where your bra would be if you’re a woman)
- Top of your head
How to Tap to Get Rid of Limiting Beliefs
Your limiting beliefs are holding you back from obtaining the results you want to manifest.
To get rid of them with EFT, you accept that you have those limiting beliefs and you bring their level down to zero. So your first step is to find your limiting belief number one. Let’s say it’s, “others can make big money, but I can’t.”
Before you begin, decide on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, how serious your belief is. Let’s say it’s a 10.
Now use that sentence (others can make big money, but I can’t) together with a sentence about accepting and loving yourself.
While you’re tapping your karate chop, say:
“Even though others can make big money, but I can’t, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
You repeat this several times before you go on to the other 8 points. And for each of these, you use a shortened version.
So karate chop: “Even though others can make big money, but I can’t, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
Eyebrow: “Others can make big money…”
Side of the eye: “I can’t make big money…”
Under the eye: “Others make big money…”
Under the nose: “Yes, everybody else can make big money…”
The chin: “All that money…”
The collar bone: “I can’t make big money.”
Under the arm: “Big money is not for me.”
Top of the head: “I can never make big money.”
Then ask yourself again how serious this belief is now. Every time you do a round, this number will go down. Repeat from step one, ideally until you reach a zero on the scale.
This makes you go into a flow where you find the words yourself based on how you feel. In my experience, you’ll feel pain when you “hit a nerve” or rather, an acupoint where you have a blockage.
More about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
When you start, speak out your fears and doubts.
“Even though I doubt that I’ll ever get $100 by the end of the week, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
Keep saying that and keep tapping your karate chop.
When you feel that you’ve said it enough times (usually 3 to 5 times), start tapping the other 8 points with an abbreviated and inspired statement.
“This doubt that I’ll not get $100.”
“This fear that nobody will send me money.”
“The horribly doubt that I’ll get the money I need.”
When you’ve gone through all 9 points, find out how important your doubts and fears are now. Then start again from point 1.
It sounds strange, but it works.

Method #2: Ask “Why?”
When you use affirmations, they should be positive, simple and in present tense. Often, we say things like, “I’m rich and have plenty of money to pay all my bills.” This is positive (no “no” or “not” in the sentence).
It’s simple and therefore easy to remember and repeat. And it’s in the present tense, not future like “I will be rich…”
Yet often it doesn’t work. Why not? What’s wrong? And how can we tweak it to work?
Easy. Just ask “why?” Instead of saying, “I’m rich” ask “Why am I so rich?” That little tree-letter word makes the world of difference.
Why?
Because when you say, “I’m rich,” you cannot help thinking subconsciously that this is a lie. You’re not rich. You couldn’t even pay all your bills this week, and you’re eating ramen noodles for dinner 4 times a week. Your subconscious knows this is a lie.
You make a claim “I’m rich” and your mind responds with doubt.
If, on the other hand, you don’t make a claim. Instead, you ask “why” something is, then your subconscious will start working on that puzzle.
“Hm, yes, that’s true. I hadn’t thought about that. Why am I so rich?”
This will make your affirmation hit straight home where it belongs.
Instead of doubting something which clearly isn’t true, your mind will start thinking about why it’s true and the Universe can do its job in peace.
There will be no doubt in your mind about interfering with the process. Could it be that simple? Yes. The simplest solutions are often the best.
This one is easy and fast to implement. Before your next visualization sessions, just rephrase your affirmation to ask “why.”
“Why am I so rich?”
“Why am I so healthy?”
“Why am I so happy in love?”
“Why am I so fit and slender?”
That’s all it takes.
Conclusion
These two methods solve your problem. They explain how to clear limiting beliefs that block successful manifestation. Your only question now may be when to use one and when to use the other?
Easy. Use both. But not at the same time. Each has its purpose. When you do the tapping, you need to accept your limiting beliefs and lower them in seriousness from 10 to 1 or 0.
When you’re visualizing your goal, or when you say affirmations in front of your mirror, or when you use scripting in your journal, you use the word “why.”
Both in combination will make you a power-manifester and you’ll be unstoppable.
5 Mind Tricks that Yield Patience
Have you ever wondered how to stay patient while waiting for a manifestation? The doubt… Does this work? Will the Law of Attraction work for me or only others? The need… I want this now. I can’t wait because it’s urgent.
There’s a problem with impatience. It sends out signals to the Universe. Signals of lack. And as you know, like attracts like. So, if you’re signaling that you lack something, you’ll get more lack. Which is the opposite of what you want. Here are three mind tricks that can help you stay patient:
#1: Be Mindful of What You Already Have
Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, focus on what you have. You can repeat this exercise as often as you need. Every time you begin to feel restless or impatient, mentally go through a list of things you’re grateful for. It can be things you’ve already manifested, but it doesn’t have to be.
Take a look around you. What do you see? Flowers in your garden or on your balcony? Your bike or car outside? Appreciate it.
Close your eyes and think of your friends and family. Think of each individual person and appreciate them. Be grateful for their presence and the joy they bring to your life. Little things count too.
Go to your kitchen and open the cupboard. Appreciate the food you have there. Open your refrigerator and do the same.
Be mindful of your body and your health. Think about how well your body functions. Ignore any sickness or pain and just be mindful of everything that works as it should. Or even better. Being mindful helps to take away the focus of what you don’t have and point it to what you do have instead.
#2: Practice Mindfulness Meditation
Learn how to mediate and practice mindfulness meditation. You can find apps that help you. I personally use the “Balance” App. Or you can simply sit in a comfortable position and focus on your breathing. It’s simple and easy. If you’re interested in apps, here are a few more you can try:
• Calm
• Headspace
• UCLA Mindful
• The Mindfulness App
• Welzen
• Mindfulness Coach
• Relax Melodies
• Take A Break
• Insight Timer
• Smiling Mind
Instead of using an app, you can listen to binaural beats or meditation music on headphones. Then just sit. Take a deep breath in, hold the breath, breathe out. You can practice counting while breathing.
Count to four while you’re breathing in. Hold your breath to the count of four. Then slowly exhale to the count of four. And hold the breath again to the count of four. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
Now you’re practicing mindfulness meditation. It will help to train your patience and not focus on the lack you would otherwise feel right now.
#3: Smile and Feel Happy
Nothing blows away a feeling of lack like the feeling of happiness. And interestingly, you can fake happiness till you make it. Just smile. Or laugh. Pretend you’re happy, even if you aren’t (yet).
Trust that you’ll manifest what you aim for and that the Universe will bring it to you as fast as possible. And be happy.
Smile. Even if you’re alone. Smile at strangers. Smile at your reflection in the mirror.
Music can create a feeling of happiness as well. Go for happy music like “The Magic Flute” by Mozart or your favorite band or song. Sing along if you can. Or better… Get up and dance to the music.
#4: Distract Yourself
If you don’t think of what you’re trying to manifest, you won’t feel impatient. Distracting yourself is therefore a great way to stay patient. How do you distract yourself? Here are 3 ways to do it:
Perform a Hobby You Love
What do you love doing? Gardening? Roller skating? Or reading?
Pick your favorite pastime and engage in it. Go all in. Don’t think of anything else than enjoying your hobby. If you find your thoughts wandering back to what you’re trying to manifest, stop. Then either focus fully on the hobby again or do something else that will distract you.
Challenge Yourself with Games or Puzzles
When you occupy your brain with a difficult challenge, there is no room for impatience. Play a computer game or find brain puzzles and try to solve them. Crosswords can work, too. As well as Sudoku.
Find something that really challenges you and which is fun to do at the same time. That should distract you for a while. And when it gets boring, it’s time to watch some TV.
Watch an Exciting Series
Action, mystery, political drama… Pick a genre that keeps you on the edge of the seat. You will think of nothing else while you’re watching. And the more you can distract yourself in this way, the less you’ll feel impatient.
#5: Journaling
Another activity that can help you stay patient is journaling. Journal about how your life will be once you’ve manifested your desire. Write about it in present tense as if you already had it. Or even better.
Write about it in past tense as if you’ve had it for a while already and still appreciate it. It can help you overcome any skepticism if you ask questions starting with “why.”
Like, “why am I so slender and fit?” “Why do I have so much love in my life?” “Why do I live in my dream house on the beach?”
While your brain is busy thinking about the answer to those questions, it cannot at the same time tell you that this is so wrong. You don’t have the dream body, dream spouse or dream house. It’s impossible. It can only focus on finding the answer to that question. And once it does, your feeling of impatience will vaporize like ice on a hot summer day.
Conclusion
You can train yourself to wait patiently, but if you need it here and now, the fastest way is to simply use one, two or all five of these mind tricks.
Can You Hack Your Fear? 6 Tips for Getting Rid of Doubts and Fears During the Manifestation Process
You want this to happen. You really need this (better health/better relationship/more money). But why should it happen to you? What if it never manifests?
The Law of Attraction teaches us that likes attracts likes. What we send out we get more of. So, the last thing you want to send out as a message to the Universe is your doubts and your fears.
How do you handle doubts and fears during the manifestation process? Here are six ways, seven tips you can use to get rid of those nasty issues:
Tip #1 Journal Your Doubts
Write down your doubts and fears. Then challenge and reframe them. How? Simply ask questions. Let me show you this with an example.
Let’s say you want to manifest $100 by the end of the week. But you fear it won’t happen. And you really need that money. Journal your doubts and thoughts.
“Why would I receive $100? I know nobody who would send me a check. And I never win the lottery.”
Okay, let’s start there. Let’s look at what you just wrote. Your first part was a question. “Why would I receive $100?” Counterpart that with a new question: “Why not?” What can you reply to that? Maybe it had never happened before. Now challenge this statement.
“It never happened before. True. Does this mean that it can never happen? No, it doesn’t, does it? There’s always a first time. So the question challenged, dismissed and reframed.
Next part: “I know nobody who would send me a check.” Good. So? Just because you don’t know anyone who would do it, does that mean that an unknown person couldn’t do it? Of course, they could. People get tax refunds and other nice surprises all the time. Even though they don’t know the person who sends the check. That’s life.
Finally, the last part: “I never win the lottery.” Never? Can you be 100% sure that if you play the lottery every week for the rest of your life that you’ll never win? Of course not.
Last part challenged, dismissed and reframed. Writing down what bothers you is almost as good as going into therapy.
Tip #2 Gratitude Journaling
Don’t let fear and doubt overwhelm you.
Those are not the signals you want to send out and attract more of. You want to send out signals of confidence. Of having what you want and need.
Write down the things you’re grateful for shifting your focus from lack to abundance.
Does this sound too simple?
It is simple. It’s very powerful, too. Some people only use gratitude to obtain and manifest their desires.
Gratitude is a powerful emotion.
Tip #3 Release Control
Let go. Trust that the Universe will provide you with what you need and what you want. Avoid obsessing over how your desire will manifest. Instead, let go and trust the universe.
Again, this sounds too simple.
It is simple. But it’s not easy to do. It takes practice.
Every time you start thinking about how you can manifest something, stop yourself. Tell yourself: “Let go and trust.”
Just those four words.
“Let go and trust.”
You’ll get better and better at stopping yourself. You’ll learn how to release control and let the Universe do what it’s best at: manifesting your desires.
Often in the most unexpected ways.
Tip #4 Take Inspired Action with Manifestation and Limiting Beliefs
Once you’ve sent out your request, listen for inspiration.
Act on any intuitive impulses or opportunities that align with your manifestation. Even the crazy ones. Perhaps especially the crazy ones.
If “something” tells you to go and do something, do it.
Let inspiration lead the way. After all, where does inspiration come from? The Universe, right?
Take inspired action.
Tip #5 Visualize Obstacle Overcoming
Here’s an easy way to get rid of fears and doubts.
Visualize yourself overcoming obstacles and challenges. See the end-result in your mind’s eye. Your mind cannot tell the difference between what you visualize and what is real.
Once again, let’s go with our previous example.
Visualize yourself being happy and relieved. You have the $100 you wanted. This makes you feel good.
Don’t think of the “how.”
Just visualize that you have the money, and you’re happy, and all is good.
Tip #6 Crystal Healing
Have a crystal near you to help you overcome your fears and doubts. You can have it on your desk. Under your pillow. Or in your pocket. If you can carry it in a chain around your neck, resting on your chest, it’s perfect. Use crystals and gemstones believed to enhance manifestation, like citrine, amethyst, or clear quartz. You can find those easily in specific shops or online on eBay.
Conclusion
You don’t have to give in to your fears and doubts. There are simple ways to overcome them. Use all seven or use one. One can be enough.
Once you’ve gotten rid of those unpleasant emotions, your manifestation will occur. Next time, you’ll feel less doubt. And every time you succeed, the fears and doubts will be easier to overcome.
